Happy #HelloYellow Day, from Serve Legal!

Each year the 10th of October marks World Mental Health Day, an important occasion to raise awareness of mental health challenges and advocate for better mental health care globally. At Serve Legal, this day holds even more significance as we join hands with Young Minds in celebrating the 10th October as #HelloYellow Day.

Young Minds, a UK charity dedicated to improving the mental health of children and young people, provides tailored mental health support and organises activities aimed at empowering children and young people across the UK.

Since our founding over 18 years ago, we’ve had the privilege of offering work opportunities to over 40,000 young people, many of whom have grown within the company, becoming integral members of our internal team. We understand the importance of creating a supportive and happy working environment, knowing that fostering mental wellbeing is key to maintaining a satisfied and successful workforce.

In line with our mission to support young people, we chose Young Minds as our official company charity in November 2022. Their work aligns with our goals, offering young people opportunities for development and growth, alongside our active efforts to improve auditor’s mental health along the journey.

Now, as we approach the second anniversary of our partnership with Young Minds, we’re proud to share the contributions we have offered to their initiatives. In the past 12 months alone, we’ve raised over £1,600, through staff and auditor competitions and donations. We are thrilled to have so significantly surpassed our initial goal of £1,000.

In late September, our internal staff came together in Buxton for our quarterly social event, which was infused with the spirit of #HelloYellow. Armed with a Scavenger Hunt and all wearing yellow, our team set out to explore Buxton, share Hello Yellow’s message of a brighter future for young people and raise money for Young Minds. After two hours of exploring we raised an incredible £500 between all 6 teams!

By embracing yellow and supporting Young Minds, we’re committed to making a meaningful contribution to improving the mental health of young people. As we reflect on World Mental Health Day and our ongoing efforts, we hope to inspire others to join us in prioritizing mental health and creating a more supportive future for all.

We are keen to see our business’ efforts of supporting mental health spread wider year on year, including our fundraising for Young Minds and our dedicated wellbeing support that is offered to our internal staff and auditors.
